Aerospace Students Complete Summer Internship in Greece

September 9, 2024

Dana and Armaan, Aerospace Engineering students from Amity University Dubai, recently completed a three-week summer internship in collaboration with Egnatia Aviation in Greece. The programme, based at Lydia Airport, provided the students with practical experience in various aspects of aviation operations and maintenance.

During their internship, Dana and Armaan worked closely with Egnatia Aviation’s Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO), participating in aircraft inspections, contributing to data analysis projects, and assisting with technical troubleshooting. They also observed simulator sessions, participated in training flights, and gained insights into air traffic operations and aerodrome safety.

As part of the programme, they visited the Hellenic Aerospace Industry and the Hellenic Air Force's 116 Combat Wing with their professor, Dr. Efstratios Ntantis. The visits included exploring maintenance procedures for military aircraft, such as aerostructures, jet engines, and avionics systems.
