BC613 - Professional & Business Communication
This course is aimed to equip students with effective oral and written communication. Students will learn some theoretical inputs into the process of communication, its different types, and the difference between written and oral communication, and presentation skills, the process of writing, its different types and the correct format of business documents and employment messages. Students will develop communication strategies to communicate effectively and to persuade culturally diverse audience.
FSIC602 - Crime Scene Investigation
The course focuses on developing an understanding and appreciation of the scope of Crime Scene Investigation and Management; develop an understanding on handling of different physical evidences found at the crime scene; develop comprehensive knowledge on various investigative techniques used in processing the crime scene.
FSIC603 - Forensic Physics
This course will cover important physical evidence found at crime scene; understanding of general characteristics and identification of physical evidence; examination and evidential value of important physical evidence.
FSIC604 - Cyber Forensics and Computer Applications
The objectives of the course are to provide students with a technical skills and competencies in the field of forensic computing thus producing competent and confident graduates; produce students who will have a hands-on knowledge and able to perform technical role in forensic computing field; equip students with the right skills thus enabling them to adapt real working environment, while contributing positively to the society at large.
FSIC605 - General Forensic Science
The course focuses on developing an understanding and appreciation for the scope of Forensic Sciences and its role in investigative system; develop an understanding on Quality management and its significance; brief description on various fields of Forensic sciences – toxicology, bio-serology, ballistics, questioned documents and fingerprints.
FSIC611 - Forensic Physics – Practical
The students will understand and perform experiments relating to examination of physical properties of physical evidence commonly encountered at crime scene.
FSIC612 - Crime Scene Investigation – Practical
The course focuses on developing an understanding and application of Crime Scene Investigation; develop an understanding on processing of crime scene (searching, sketching and photography of Crime scene (Indoor and Outdoor); brief description on procedure adopted for collection, preservation, and packaging of physical evidence.
FSIC626 - Criminology, Criminal Law and Police Administration
The course focuses on developing an understanding and application of Criminology and criminal laws; develop an understanding on concepts of crime and criminal behavior and factor of crime and criminological theory, criminal Justice system in India structural and functional process; brief description on criminal laws of IPC and Cr. PC.; develop comprehensive knowledge on police administration of India development and history and responsibilities and powers.
ARAB116 - Introduction to Arabic Culture & Language
The course gives the students an insight into the Arabic culture and enables them to converse using simple vocabulary, read short text and write and simple sentences.
FREN145 - Introduction to French Culture & Language
This course teaches the students to express themselves in basic French and familiarises them with the present tense. Students will be able to engage in basic conversation in French and will be able to frame sentences using negation, interrogation, etc.

During the course the student will understand and appreciate the scope of forensic medicine; know about different types of injuries, causes and manner of death and their medico legal significance; learn about the utility of the odontological studies in identification and other medico legal purposes like age, sex, and population determinations.

This course is designed to provide foundation knowledge of genetics; provide understanding of the inheritance laws and gene interactions; provide understanding of mutation and genetic diseases.
FSIC621 - Photography, Forensic Medicine and Odontology Practical
Photograph crime scene and present the evidence through photographs and charts and identify individual by using dentition.
FSIC713 - Questioned Documents and Fingerprints
The course focuses on developing an understanding and appreciation for the scope of questioned documents and fingerprints; develop an understanding on different types of questioned documents, the types of forgeries and disguise generally encountered; give brief description on various methods of their detection and examination; develop comprehensive knowledge on fingerprint patterns, fingerprint classification, the various methods of fingerprint development.
STAT664 - Statistics and Research Methodology
This course is designed to provide foundation knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods used in Forensic Sciences; provide understanding of the use of survey, field, and qualitative research techniques to develop practice knowledge; describe distributions in terms of shape, center, and spread including the ability to construct visual displays of data (charting, graphing); provide an understanding of and ability to use the basic principles of statistical inference.
ARAB102 - Arabic Grammar – I
The syllabus is based on some important parts of Arabic grammar, conversation, practice of translation and vocabulary. The same will be given to the students for practicing.
FREN104 - French Grammar – I
To explain the students to apply their knowledge of possessive & demonstrative adjectives in the present and near future tense, in conversation- using different groups of verbs.
ENTR606 - Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp
This course is designed to introduce the student to the concept of entrepreneurship and create awareness on how to start a business. The aim of this course is also to give insight to the students about identifying and selecting the business opportunity and the role creativity plays in starting the enterprise. Students will be given awareness about various schemes and support available technological and financial – assistance from R&D labs and other institutions, governmental agencies, financial institutions. Real life exposure would be given through a factory visit along with experience sharing of the entrepreneur.

The objective of the course is to provide student with practical understanding of working and applications of various instrumentation techniques used in the forensic science laboratory for the analysis of evidence.
FSIC630 - Advanced Digital, Mobile Forensic and Cyber Security
The course will provide students the principles and practice of digital forensics along with the societal and legal impact of computer activity: computer crime, privacy issues, legal codes; risks, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures; methods and standards for extraction, preservation, and deposition of legal evidence in a court of law. This course provides hands-on experience in different computer forensics situations that are applicable to the real world.
